I started cycling to prepare for a few local fundraiser's that were
raising money for various disease states in 1991 and 1992. Next I
tackled triathlons, adventure races, running races, etc. until 2000
at which time I began focusing on cycling specific events.
From 2001 – 2006 I raced both road and mountain bike events.
During the 2004 season, my daughter tried her hand at mountain
bike racing and has since picked up triathlon training. During the
2006 season, I put racing on the back burner to spend time riding
with Jessi’s swim teammates to help them prepare for RAIN (Ride
Across Indiana) and local triathlons. The spring, summer, and fall
were very rewarding and I see myself doing much of the same in
2008 with the exception of adding some racing back into the
schedule (triathlons, Xterra, and a few mountain bike events).
